Appealing a rejection decision of the asylum application

Appealing a rejection decision of the asylum application

Appeal to the National Court of Asylum (CNDA) must be filed within one month of notification of OFPRA’s decision rejecting the application.

If you ask for legal aid, you must file the application within the time limit of fifteen days from the notification of OFPRA’s decision. The appeal period is then suspended until the notification of the legal aid decision.

If the period of fifteen days is exceeded, you cannot apply for legal aid anymore.

After receiving the legal aid decision, your lawyer must send the appeal within the remaining time limit (1 month – the number of days until the legal aid application has been filed), ie at least 15 days.
